Our Story

In the early days of my event production career, I quickly figured out that hotel brochures were more fiction than fact when it came to space. How many can fit? Well, the hotels had their numbers, and reality had its own—especially once you crammed in the speakers, screens, and the kitchen sink of production equipment.

As production maestro with clients that had high standards, I couldn't stand the sight of a sardine-can event. So, I devised WIFT (Will It Fit There?), an algorithmic oracle that spat out the real numbers. It chewed on room dimensions and regurgitated how many folks could actually fit without getting cozy, taking into account all the gizmos and gadgets of event production.

At first, this nifty number-cruncher lived as a humble calculator on The 180 Group's website, doling out spatial wisdom and saving clients from the embarrassment of a crammed conference.

Not one to rest on laurels, we turbocharged WIFT into a full-blown app. WIFT 2.0 not only gives you the digits but sketches a spiffy floor plan too. It’s like having a pocket-sized event planner on the ready.
